Axminster will this year be celebrating Armed Forces Day with events taking place at Axminster train station on Saturday, June 24.
From 2pm until 11pm there will be a service of worship, a talk from Andrew Powell-Thomas, live music, military history memorabilia on display, stalls and entertainment, a beer and cider festival at the Ale Way and a BBQ courtesy of the Railway Kitchen. Spoofing will be encouraged, and military attire is most welcome.
Here is a schedule of events.
2pm: Service of Worship by Rev. Clive Sedgwick
2pm - 5pm: Fun & Games including trampolines, swing boats, parachute games, shoot-a-goal, giant jenga, stalls and military vehicles & exhibition
3pm: The Taunton Stop Line, a talk by Andrew Powell-Thomas - Author
2pm - 11pm: Beer & Cider Festival with The Ale Way and BBQ by The Coffee Box - Axminster
6pm - 9pm: live music from Plum Jam
9pm - 11pm: DJ
The event is being organised by Light Up Axminster.
