A Honiton beauty business has won first place in the South West for Best Nail Salon at the national Hair and Beauty awards.
Claire Curram at Hideaway Treatments, Honiton also won in two other categories: 'Best Business Branding' and 'Nail Technician of The Year', and a certificate for 'Highly Recommended.'
Claire is the sole owner and has individually run Hideaway Treatments Beauty and Training Salon for the past 10 years. She studied for a few years on a Childcare and Education course, when she then decided to look at training to learn in nail enhancements, she booked herself onto the Carlton Institute course in London which she passed and then she set up as a mobile technician. Hideaway Treatments was then set up in October 2021.
On winning her plethora of awards, Claire told the Herald: "I'm absolutely overwhelmed with joy and happiness in being notified that I won all these awards.
"I have loved and spent a lot of hours working hard and throughly enjoying my job all these years, I have now been very lucky to achieve this amazing first place award.
"I absolutely love, love all that I do, the creativity challenges that my clients set me on all the nail sets I do is fantastic and all the beautiful Lashes, Brows & Facials I do are the very best.
"I am truly grateful to all my Beautiful Clients, Students, Family and Friends, without you all I couldn't have reached this far & been awarded this amazing award."
Claire will now be pushing for the next stage of the Hair and Beauty awards competition - the national stages.
The UK Hair and Beauty Awards celebrate the hair and beauty industry in an aim to support businesses both large and small and expose all candidates to new opportunities via social media, businesses complete nationally and regionally before heading to the national Grand Final red-carpet event.
