William George MALE

MALE William George (Bill) aged 89 years, died on 5th September 2024 peacefully at home. Beloved husband of Joan, loving father to Jacqueline and Anthony, beloved Father-in-Law and Granddad. He will be sadly missed by all his family and many friends. The family would like to especially thank all the wonderful team at Seaton Hospice at Home, Kirsty, Katie and Rachel from Kays Home Services for all their care and support and also the support from Marie Curie. The Funeral service to take place on Thursday 19th September 2024, St Michael's Chapel of Ease, Colyford at 11.30am. Family flowers only. Donations if desired for Seaton & District Hospital League of Friends and Marie Curie may be made online at williammale.muchloved.com or cheques made payable to the charity sent c/o Hansfords Funeral Service, Bay View, Trevelyan Road, Seaton EX12 2NL.

I've known Bill for all of my life, when I was a young lad I used to visit his Mum (my Dads half sister) in Stoke-sub-Hamden and when Bill was there he would always give me half a crown when I left, it's funny what you remember. Then when I got engaged to Marlene Weir we became friends with Bill and Joan and they treated us very well before we married and left for Australia in 1965. Although our paths haven't crossed too much over the years as I have lived in the Solomon Islands, America and now Canada though the internet we kept in touch, mostly through Joan, she was more tech savvy, A wonderful man who will be missed, Rest in Peace Bill.
