BBC film Little Green Change award nominee as part of their awards.

Clare Matheson, founder and director of Little Green Change, an environmental venture based in Lyme Regis, has had a productive session with the BBC for their Make a Difference Awards 2024.

Ms Matheson is a Green Award finalist at the awards which appreciates her efforts to enhance environmental consciousness through her work with Little Green Change, impacting state-funded schools and communities.

The interview took place on June 28 at Axminster Community Primary Academy, where Matheson was interviewed by BBC senior producer, Jo Loosemore.

The school children, as well as Mrs Hulbert, head of school, shared their experiences regarding the beneficial environmental alterations courtesy of Little Green Change's initiatives such as bulb planting, organic food growing and informative assemblies on British wildlife habitats.

Ms Matheson said: "It's an honour to be a finalist at these important awards, which helps to highlight the great work that's being undertaken across so many state-funded schools and communities through Little Green Change.

"A huge part of my role is to educate and inspire younger generations, helping them to make positive little green changes of their own, and the BBC Make a Difference Awards are an important part of this, increasing awareness of our actions and services, all of which are FREE to UK state-funded schools and communities."

She further expressed her gratitude towards Jo Loosemore and her BBC colleague, Mrs Hulbert and the students at Axminster Community Primary Academy for their assistance and zeal during the shoot.

The BBC interview will be released later in the summer, with the BBC Make a Difference Award winners being revealed in September 2024.
