Bobak Skelly set out on Thursday May 8 to complete the Brathay 10in10, the original 10 marathons in 10 consecutive days efunds for Brathay Trust. He lives in Cranbrook but grew up in the Lake District, where the Brathey charity is based.

Brathay Trust works with disadvantaged children and young people providing them skills to enable them to flourish.

Bobak said the '10 marathons in 10 consecutive days was my hardest test to date.' Donate to his JustGiving page here https://www.justgiving.com/page/bob-skelly10in10

Brathay 10in10 started in 2007 and was the World’s first ten marathons in ten ten-day stage race. The challenge is simple; run 10 laps of the stunning Windermere Marathon course over 10 days. It is considered one of the UK's toughest running events.

Bobak told the Herald: "I successfully finished Day 10 of the event by taking part in the ASICS Windermere marathon event on Saturday 18th May however it wasn't an easy 10 days with multiple people dropping out plus an injury to my left leg. I have a just giving page which is still open for people to donate to this amazing charity."

"I have always been a keen runner and enjoyed pushing myself physically through different challenges. I have previously completed the Windermere Marathon twice, plus numerous half marathons and regularly run/volunteer at my local Parkrun. I have also cycled John O'Groats to Lands End."
