Melvyn Baldock is the latest member to be elected to Honiton Town Council.
A by-election was held on Thursday April 11, Melvyn Baldock was elected with 408 votes. John Taylor was in second with 197.
Turnout for the election was 11.6 percent. One seat was up for grabs in the St Michael's Ward of Honiton.
Nomination papers were available by post from the Returning Officer at East Devon District Council or from the Town Clerk at Honiton Town Council Office and from Honiton Town Council's website, where further information about the election process can be found.
